Protein diverse functions and locations
نویسنده
چکیده
organismal, ecological and evolutionary levels continue to develop rapidly. Increasingly, biologists need to confront organised complexity, of which living systems are the paramount example. Both spontaneous emergence of order and the maintenance of stability in complex systems in the face of highly variable environments need to be researched further. Complex structures are generated and maintained through energy fl ux, placing energy fl ow as one of the most important components of biological systems. In addition, diversity, whether of molecular form at the cellular level or organismal variation at the ecological level, is another crucial characteristic of biological systems.

Computational Identification of Micro RNAs and Their Transcript Target(s) in Field Mustard (Brassica rapa L.)
Background: Micro RNAs (miRNAs) are a pivotal part of non-protein-coding endogenous small RNA molecules that regulate the genes involved in plant growth and development, and respond to biotic and abiotic environmental stresses posttranscriptionally. Objective: In the present study, we report the results of a systemic search for identifi cation of new miRNAs in B. rapa using homology-based ...

متن کاملPrediction of Protein Sub-Mitochondria Locations Using Protein Interaction Networks
Background: Prediction of the protein localization is among the most important issues in the bioinformatics that is used for the prediction of the proteins in the cells and organelles such as mitochondria. In this study, several machine learning algorithms are applied for the prediction of the intracellular protein locations. These algorithms use the features extracted from pro...
متن کاملBiochemical characterization of PE_PGRS61 family protein of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv reveals the binding ability to fibronectin
Objective(s): The periodic binding of protein expressed by Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv with the host cell receptor molecules i.e. fibronectin (Fn) is gaining significance because of its adhesive properties. The genome sequencing of M. tuberculosis H37Rv revealed that the proline-glutamic (PE) proteins contain polymorphic GC-rich repetitive sequences (PGRS) which have clinical importance i...
متن کاملProteome-wide remodeling of protein location and function by stress.
Protein location and function can change dynamically depending on many factors, including environmental stress, disease state, age, developmental stage, and cell type. Here, we describe an integrative computational framework, called the conditional function predictor (CoFP; http://nbm.ajou.ac.kr/cofp/), for predicting changes in subcellular location and function on a proteome-wide scale. The es...
متن کاملLOCALIZATION OF REOVIRUS CELL ATTACHMENT PROTEIN ?l ON THE SURFACE OF THE REOVIRION USING IMMUNOFERRITIN ELECTRON MICROSCOPY
Purified reovirus type 3 (strain Dearing) was treated with monoclonal anti-?l antibody conjugated to ferritin and examined in the electron microscope. Virion associated ferritin molecules corresponding to locations of the ?l protein were observed. Electron microsocpy of thin sections of these preparations revealed that ferritin conjugates were localized at the vertices of the viral icosahe...
